No big plans

Many people have asked me what big plans I have to enjoy my last week of maternity leave.  I really have no big plans.  On Monday I went snowboarding for the first time in a long time.  Tuesday we went to the Vancouver Christmas market.  Today we played at the park.  The next few days will be kind of just the usual–going to the library, getting groceries, playing at the park weather permitting, and going for walks and running errands.

Sometimes it’s those ordinary days that I’m most thankful for.  I get to spend time with my kids, watch them grow, and watch them amaze me.

As a side note, I’ve made a resolution to get myself in more pictures with the kids.  I don’t care if they’re out of focus or blurry because I’m holding the camera backwards with one hand.  I am determined to show the kids in the future that I was there with them all along.

Beautiful autumn day

Nothing makes me happier than seeing Joshua enjoy himself.  We went for a walk today around Kitsilano, and stopped by the park to play on the swing.  Joshua giggled the whole time and had a blast.

The weather has been so gorgeous for the past few days.  The air is crisp, and the sun shines bright.  I love being out and about in this weather!
