Miles the little man

Lucky for me, this is the third year in a row that I’ve had the opportunity to photograph Miles and his family.  I met Miles’ mom at the community centre baby group when Miles and my son were both babies.  That was about 3 years ago.  It has been so much fun to see Miles grow into the little man that he is today.  He loves to eat fish, he reads alphabets, and he loves to help out in the kitchen.

We had our session at Granville Island.  We ran around, played hide-and-seek, ate a bagel, and ended the session in chasing seagulls.  Fun times!

Photographing Ming and her family

This past Labor Day weekend, I was fortunate enough to have three photo sessions booked.  I was so excited that I barely got any sleep on Friday night.  I spent the Saturday morning at Granville Island with Ming and her gorgeous family.  We ran around, watched a dog swim in the ocean, laid on the boardwalk, ate lollipops, and got some beautiful shots of this fun family!

My brother’s family

A few weeks ago, we had dinner at my brother’s house.  I noticed him and his wife have recently put up new pictures on their wall.  There are lots of pictures of the kids, but the one picture they have of all 4 of them is a snapshot I took in their living room quite a while back.  It wasn’t a bad picture per se, but it was just a snapshot and it does not represent the beauty of their family.  It was a bit of a shock to me to realize at that moment that I’ve never properly photographed my brother’s family.

So we rectified the situation yesterday by heading to Granville Island for some family photos.  We got rained on a little bit, but the light was so soft and beautiful, and my nephews were such a joy to be around.
