I have been following the Apartment Therapy website for a number of years. Every year, the website allows you to sign up for the “January Cure”–31 days of daily assignments that help you get your home organized, cleaned, decluttered, and set on the right path for the rest of the year.
This year, the first assignment is easy–declutter one drawer in your home. Just one drawer. Not all the drawers, because I would have died.
I picked our utensils drawer, which has been a source of frustration for a long time, but never gotten high enough on the priority list for me to actually do something about it. I took all the content out of the drawer, cleaned the drawer and the organizer, threw out a bunch of useless things, and put everything back. I also found about 5 spoons and 6 forks I have somehow brought home from work. They are stamped with the company logo, so it is easy to tell where they came from. For the record, I returned them to work promptly the next day. Don’t hold it against me.
The top is the “before” mess. The bottom is the “after” picture.
:O you’re one of the reasons for our disappearing utensils in the Bistro! Good for you for returning them promptly. 😉
I never took them from the bistro! I might be the reason why utensils are low on my floor, but not your floor!
