The morning we woke up to snow, Josh ran into our room with excitement in his voice, “Mommy, Mommy, come see! It’s Christmas! I’m so excited. Can we open the presents now?”
I was still half asleep and said, “Baby, it’s not Christmas today.”
Josh said, “But Mommy, there’s Christmas on the balcony!”
I got up to look outside and saw the snow. I said, “Josh, I’m sorry, there’s snow on the balcony, but it’s not Christmas today.”
He said with disappointment in his voice, “Oh, ok. But Christmas is on the balcony.”
