What it takes to get one photo

Once in a while, I want a good posed image of my kids just to have one. To get one of those of my kids requires a lot of coordination. Josh is easily distracted, and Savanna has a mind of her own. Here is an example to demonstrate.

This is the final image, which I was pretty happy with:

Looks easy, right? Plop both kids down on the ground, tell them to sit next to each other, and give each other a kiss. How hard could that be?

Well, below are the steps we had to get through in order to get that final image above.

First, Savanna tried to escape. She wasn't going to sit for a photo.

Josh tried to help mommy out by grabbing Savanna.

To help mommy out, Joshua steps in and grabs Savanna, causing her to cry.

Now she’s crying.

Daddy comes to the rescue with a snack.

Give both kids some time to eat their snack.

Waiting for her to finish chewing the giant piece of muffin she stuffed in her mouth.

Then we get photo bombed by a damn cat.

Eventually we get the one image I wanted (the top one in this post). Phew.
