What does a cartoon animator and a photographer do at night, after their kids go to bed?

They play with lights and cameras.

Well, at least that’s what we ended up doing the other night for fun.  Cliff has always been very supportive of whatever ideas I come up with.  So when I asked him to act traumatized, he did.  I then used Photoshop to layer on some texture on his face, making it look like he has an infection of some sort.  The texture is actually a photo I took in Namibia of some dried cracked ground in a desert.  He said the photo looked “disturbing”, which is exactly what I was going for.
