Earlier this month I stopped taking domperidone, and my milk production reduced drastically. However, I still have enough to actually nurse Joshua twice a day. So I continue to nurse him just before bed, and first thing in the morning.
I thought my milk will completely dry up after stopping the domperidone, but how ever little I am producing, it is continuing. So I continue to enjoy my twice a day bonding time with Joshua. Because this milk production is not expected, it feels like somehow it’s a “bonus” or a “gift” to have it. It makes me very grateful to have this extra time to nurse Joshua.
