Despite how hard I try to keep him as a little baby, Joshua is growing up way too fast!

We were having tummy time today, and he kept his head up for a long time. That was a big jump in improvement from even just two days ago! While we were having tummy time, mom and dad called on Skype, so I pointed the iPod camera at Joshua to show them how well he was lifting his head. They were all pretty proud!

There are also a few other things indicating his growth. Weight-wise, he was already at 15 lbs at 2 1/2 months old. In the last 10 days or so, he has also gotten into the habit of falling asleep on his own for his long sleep at night (although the “long” sleep is only 3 1/2 hours, but I’m hopeful that will stretch out over time). At the 3:30 am feeding, he is now ok with me just nursing him and putting him back to bed without supplementing with formula. In addition, two days ago, he fell asleep on his own for an afternoon nap. He is certainly becoming easier as time goes on.

Right at about 2 months, he started smiling at faces. Now at almost 3 months, he constantly smiles at faces. I love it when he smiles at me; it just completely melts me into a puddle!
