Joshua would keep his eyes open and focused for long periods of time. He does his little frown, and has a look of serious contemplation. I do not know of a newborn to do this. Most newborns can’t focus their eyes. Of course, I think my baby is special!
The day was spent nursing Joshua, napping, and going through three sets of visitors. I was also able to get rid of both the IV line and the catheter, and take a shower before I begin to ferment.
Dr. Lee came by and was happy with how everything is turning out. Joshua seemed to be nursing correctly, and my recovery seemed to be on track. She would consider discharging us the next day if we wanted to go home.
I am madly in love with this little man!
