Now that I’m at full term, Joshua can really come anytime. I had a regular appointment with Dr. L yesterday, and she said the cervix has shortened a little bit, preparing for the baby’s arrival. She also confirmed that the head is pointing down, ideal for a natural delivery.
I find that I am so looking forward to meeting Joshua. It is hard to imagine what he looks like, or what his personality would be like. All I really hope for is that he is healthy and happy. I know our lives will be turned upside down once this little baby arrives, but I still can’t help but want to see him soon!
Until the birth, I have set a goal to walk for at least an hour a day, and get lots of rest. Other than that, I have no lofty goals to achieve for the next little while. Today is a gorgeous fall day, with crisp air and blue skies. I walked to the post office to mail some thank-you cards. Then I came home and made lunch for Cliff, took Sam for a short walk, and I plan to take a nap then walk to Babies R Us to check out some things. It’s so nice to be able to run errands on a week day, have some exercise, and get rest without wondering how soon the weekend will end.
